Researchers are invited to read the minutes of the Researcher Forum meeting on November 18, 2011, posted to the DC-area Researcher Forum web page (http://www.archives.gov/dc-metro/researcher-forum/). The main feature of the meeting was a presentation/discussion with the audience about the newly completed National Archives facility at St. Louis, an overview of its operations and how the public requests/receives access to records, and NARA’s proposal to transfer certain records series to that facility for their perpetual preservation, use in reconstructing burned records, and reference service to the public.
Presenters were Ann Cummings, Director of NARA’s Textual Archives Services Division; Trevor Plante, Chief of the Archives I Reference Branch; and Bryan McGraw, Director of the National Archives at St. Louis.
It would be helpful if the Power Point had also been posted.
Hi Harry,
The Power Point presentation from the November 18th meeting is available on the DC-area Researcher Forum website, under the “Handouts” column: http://www.archives.gov/dc-metro/researcher-forum/
Thank you!
