  1. Is this the place to suggest an agenda item for the February meeting? If so, I’d like to hear how NARA is preparing the 1940 census for release. I’ve heard it is to be digitized rather than filmed. But will it be full-text searchable? or will the pages be scanned as graphics? A brief discussion of how it’s being handled would be valuable.
    Thank you.

  2. Claire,

Sure, you’re welcome to post suggested agenda items here for the February meeting. This is a good idea. Rebecca Warlow is out of town this week, but we will see if she or someone else from the 1940 census working group can provide an update at the February meeting.

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Claire, I would be happy to talk about the plans for the 1940 Census at the next DC-area researchers group meeting. I’ve passed the topic onto the Customer Services Division so they can add it to the agenda.

      Rebecca
