Minutes from the May 7th Archives wiki planning meeting are now available

Thanks to everyone who attended our first planning meeting for the new Archives wiki.  We had researchers, citizen archivists, and staff at the meeting – including a researcher who came from Texas for the meeting!  There were many great ideas for the wiki ranging from pages of tips for new researchers to using the wiki to compare records. To see all of the ideas generated at the meeting, please visit our planning wiki for the Archives wiki, click on “Meetings, Agenda, and Minutes” and then click on “Minutes”.

The planning wiki will be used to capture minutes from the meetings as well as other ideas as we develop the Archives wiki. Anyone can view the planning wiki. If you would like to contribute, we can set up a user account for you. Please email us at socialmedia@nara.gov with a user name, email address, and the subject line “Planning Wiki for Researchers’ Wiki (Account Request)” for a user account.

If you weren’t able to make the meeting on May 7th, we hope you will join us for a second planning meeting on May 19th at 1 PM in lecture room E at the National Archives in College Park.  If you can’t attend the meeting in person but would like to call into the meeting, please email us at socialmedia@nara.gov for the call in information.
